Actress lori Loughlin and her husband faces 40years in prison in admission scandal

'Full House' actress Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli are now facing 40 years in prison and over one-million dollars in fines for allegedly bribing officials in a bid to get their daughters into the University of Southern California.

Lori Loughlin and her husband plus 14 other parents are charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and money laundering. They now face as many as 20 years for each new charge, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts.

For conspiracy to commit money laundering, offenders face a maximum sentence of 20 years, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $500,000, according to the news release.

Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 to secure the admission of their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella, into the University of Southern California by saying that they were members of the rowing team which was a lie.

"Desperate Housewives” actress Felicity Huffman, was also charged and she pleaded guilty.
