‘Power Rangers’ actor Pua Magasiva found dead at 38
The actor who played the Red Ranger on “Power Rangers Ninja Storm,” has been found dead on Saturday in New Zealand.
Police were called to his home early Saturday morning and found Pua Magasiva unresponsive, the New Zealand Herald reported. He was 38.
A police spokesperson said Saturday there were “no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death,” according to the paper.
Magasiva played Red Wind Ranger Shane Clarke in the Power Rangers spinoff that aired in 2003.
In New Zealand, he was best known for his longtime role as nurse Vinnie on the medical drama “Shortland Street.”
Magasiva left his gig as a Flava radio show host last April after he was busted for a DUI.
Born in Samoa, but raised in New Zealand, Magasiva leaves behind his wife of one year, Lizz Sadler, and a 7-year-old daughter, Jasmine. His brother Robbie Magasiva is also an actor
