Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty arrested for not registering as a sex offender

Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty has been arrested.

The 37-year-old "Yikes" rapper's husband has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on an indictment for not registering as a sex offender, TMZ reports.

Kenneth was in federal custody on Wednesday (March 4) and turned himself in.

He appeared in court and pled not guilty. He will reportedly post $100,000 bond later today and has another hearing scheduled for March 23.

Kenneth will be required to wear an ankle monitor, will have a curfew, must remain in Southern California, and cannot use any drugs.

Kenneth previously got pulled over by Beverly Hills police in back in November, who discovered he was a registered sex offender in New York but had not registered in California.

He was arrested, released on a $20,000 bond, and charged for failing to register as a sex offender.

If convicted on the federal charge, Kenneth faces up to 10 years in prison.

Nicki and her beau, who has been convicted of manslaughter and registered as a sex offender, tied the knot less than a year after their romance began.

Before confirming their union she often referred to him as her "husband", but she officially announced they were wed in October 2019.
