Drake sparks speculation he's singing about Rihanna in explosive song about exes

Drake has sparked speculation he’s taking a subtle swipe at ex-girlfriends including Rihanna and Rita Ora through the lyrics of a new song.

The 35-year-old Canadian rapper was in an on-off romance with Rihanna from 2009 until 2016, and reportedly enjoyed a brief romance with 31-year-old Rita in 2012.

Lyrics in a song called Texts Go Green highlight past romantic struggles – although the music star doesn’t name names in his tune.

Instead, he raps: “If I was in your shoes, I would hate myself/ Left all this behind to be with someone else, oh/ Why should I fake it anymore?”

He continues: “Texts go green, it hits a little different, don’t it? Know you miss the days when I was grippin’ on it/ Know you’re in a house tonight just thinkin’ on it/ I moved on so long ago.”

One fan suggested the new song is a sequel to a previous tune released by DRake that was a farewell to his romance with recent new mum Riri, 34.

The fan tweeted: "Rihanna really did our man Drake bad. Texts Go Green is just Take Care pt 2."

And another fan tweeted: "Rihanna need to be on Texts Go Green, but I feel like it’s about her."
