Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share rare photo of daughter, Lilibet on her 1st birthday

 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their daughter Lilibet's first birthday with the release of an adorable new photo.

The couple’s baby girl turned 1 on Saturday and are now sharing a snapshot from her birthday celebration at Frogmore Cottage over the weekend. 

In the photo, Lili — who has red hair just like her dad — is seen wearing a baby blue dress and a headband with a white bow as she sits on the green grass.

Last week, Meghan and Harry traveled to the U.K. with their two children — Archie, 3, and Lilibet, who turned 1 on Saturday — for the Queen's Platinum celebrations.

They stayed at their U.K. home, Frogmore Cottage, which is just half a mile from Windsor Castle. They returned to California on Sunday. 

The trip marked Lili's first visit to the U.K. Meghan and Harry's daughter was born in California and had yet to visit her dad's homeland.

Archie was born in the U.K. on May 6, 2019, but hadn't been back since he was six months old. 

The trip also gave Lili the opportunity to meet her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, for the first time. The 1-year-old is named for the monarch, as Lilibet was the Queen's childhood nickname.
