Avengers fans beat up man outside cinema after he revealed movie’s surprise ending

A man has reportedly been beaten up outside a cinema after loudly revealing the plot of the new Avengers film to queuing fans who hadn't yet seen it. 

Picture showed the man struggling to sit upright on blood-spattered pavement outside a cinema in Hong Kong.

Filmgoers had been in a lengthy queue waiting to watch the highly anticipated Marvel film, AsiaOne news reported.

But unable to contain his own excitement, the man began to shout out a series of spoilers in the queue.

In a fit of rage, and apparently trying to stop him from revealing more, a group began to beat him up.

The film directors, The Russo Brothers, posted an open letter to fans in a bid to stop them from ruining the plot for others.

They said: “To the greatest fans in the world, this is it. This is the end.

“The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

"Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.

“As always, good luck and happy viewing. #DontSpoilTheEndgame.”

Their letter came reportedly five minutes after the film was leaked online.

Thousands of fans pre-booked tickets to catch the long-awaited finale.

It smashed records for advance ticket sales, beating the mark set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Avengers: Endgame is expected to top the TWO BILLION dollars raked in by the previous instalment in the series, Infinity War
