"What the hell was he thinking" --- Chris Rock slams Jussie Smollet at the 50th NAACP Image Award

Despite been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the drama series Empire, actor Jussie Smollett wasn't able to attend the 50th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, March 30, because of the ongoing FBI investigation into his plea deal for an alleged attack.

Before presenting the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, Chris Rock expressed his disappointment.

“What a waste of light skin. Do you know what I could do with that light skin? That curly hair? My career would be out of here! I’d be running Hollywood.”

He added: “What the hell was he thinking? You’re ‘Jessie’ from now on. You don’t get the ‘u’ no more. That ‘u’ was respect. You ain’t getting no respect from me!”

The award ultimately went to Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams.
