Teen model, 16, 'dragged and kicked' in club attack because 'she's pretty'

The mum of a 16-year-old model says she was attacked at the weekend because she is pretty.

Jacee Pink snuck out with friends in Sunderland on Sunday evening to a nightclub when she was violently assaulted by a woman and left with concussion.

The teen, who is also an aspiring singer, was hospitalised after being left bloodied when she was dragged and kicked lost several fingernails in the scuffle.

Her mum Amy Pink says her daughter was left in tears by what happened and believes she was targeted because of jealousy.

Amy said: "Jacee was at the bar, then all of a sudden the woman was pushing, grabbing and then kicking her while she was on the floor.

"She's been kicked in the head a few times and has been very dizzy. She's frightened and she is only still a child.

"She was crying afterwards and asked 'why have I been targeted?'. She is a pretty girl and feels targeted because of that.

"Nobody knows what has happened but I think it is has been instigated through jealousy, it is completely unprovoked and it has to all be down to jealousy."

And she thinks that jealousy may be down to her talents. The youngster not only sings but also models and one of her videos, for Breast Cancer UK, has had almost 20,000 YouTube views.

Northumbria Police is investigating the incident.
