Cristiano Ronaldo became the first person to reach 200 million followers mark on Instagram and the soccer star announced the milestone with a photo montage on Wednesday.
He is the second person with the most followers on Instagram. The only account that comes before his is Instagram itself with 330 million followers.
Singer Ariana Grande is third, per Brand Watch. She has 173.1 million.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the second-highest athlete with 170.1 million. Lionel Messi of Barcelona ranks eighth with 141.8 million and Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar is 10th at 132.6 million.
According to a recent study by the Instagram marketing company, Hopper HQ, Cristiano earns a whopping 900,000 euros for every sponsored post he makes. This gives him a yearly income of 48 million euros which is more than he earns from his club side Juventus (estimated 34 million euros).
Messi has the second-highest Instagram income at $23.3 million, per Forbes.
