Davina McCall says ending 17-year marriage was ‘absolute emotional turmoil’ as she breaks silence over split

TV presenter, Davina McCall  has said ending their 17-year marriage to Matthew Robertson was “traumatic” – but insisted it was the right thing to do.

The 52-year-old Masked Singer judge has broken her silence over her 2017 split from the former Pet Rescue star, saying it was “absolute emotional turmoil”.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday’s You, she explained: “Going through a divorce is a traumatic experience and it is something that needs to be navigated as carefully as possible.

“Two years on, we have both grown as people and we can now co-parent happily and acknowledge that it was the right thing for us to go through even though it involved absolute emotional turmoil.”

Davina is now dating Michael Douglas, a celebrity hairdresser who has styled Holly Willoughby and Kate Moss.

Davina and Matthew married in 2000 and went on two have two daughters, Holly and Tilly, and a son, Chester.
