Judge, who ordered former Petroleum Resources Minister Diezani’s arrest, dies

A judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Justice Valentine Ashi, who ordered security agencies to arrest and produce the former Petroleum Resources Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke, within 72 hours, has died.

The Justice Ashi, who sits in Apo, died on Thursday in an Abuja hospital from a yet- to- be disclosed ailment.

Authorities of the FCT High Court also confirmed the development but assured a formal statement will be issued on Monday,with the authority of the Chief Judge, Justice Ishaq Bello.

“Some members the late Justice Ashi’s family has visited the court’s management to inform the court about the unfortunate incident.

“I can confirm that they said he died on Thursday in the course of an illness. But, the court will issue a formal statement on Monday, a senior official of the court said.

On December 4, 2018, Justice Ashi, upon an ex-parte motion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), ordered the agency, Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the Department of State Services (DSSS) and all other security agencies to arrest 72 hours.

The EFCC said it investigated the former minister with a businessman and Chairman, Atlantic Energy Drilling Company, Jide Omokore in relation to a petition by a group, the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL), dated October 2, 2013, which contained allegations of money laundering and official corruption

Khloé Kardashian has admitted that she regrets blaming Jordyn Woods for breaking up her family in a new KUWTK teaser.

Back in March, fans will remember that Khloe furiously lashed out at Jordyn on Twitter, after she spoke about kissing Tristan Thompson in a tell-all interview on Red Table Talk.

During the interview, the 21-year-old admitted to kissing the NBA player, but categorically said, “I’m not the reason that Tristan and Khloé are not together.” After the interview aired on Facebook Watch,

Khloé’s sister Kim, tries to rationalise Khloé’s behaviour by saying: “I think we’ve always taken the high road, and I know you have aggression towards so many people that you trusted that were in your life for years at a time.”

"And it was the most fucked up situation, it should have never happened that way. But I think you had just had it with everyone taking advantage of you.”

Khloé replied: “I realise that the world took [the tweet] so literally. I would never blame solely one person for that. There’s a multitude of things.”

“So I feel bad — even though Jordyn played a part — I feel bad if anyone would think I was putting sole blame on her because that’s not the truth. And I only like to speak my truth.”

The 'On Becoming' author is also calling for Justice on behalf of Busola Dakolo.

American actress Allison Williams and her husband Ricky Van Veen have separated after four years of marriage. 

The 31-year-old actress met Ricky back in 2011 while attending a The Bachelor viewing party and they got married in September 2015 at a star-studded wedding. 

“With mutual love and respect, we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are grateful for the friendship that we have and will continue to have," Allison and Ricky said in a joint statement, provided to Page Six.

Allison is best known for her roles in the movie Get Out and the HBO series Girls. Ricky is an executive at Facebook.

The former couple was last seen together in public while attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party back in March 2018.

 In her interview, Busola recounted how the clergyman also allegedly tried having sex with her inside his matrimonial home when she came in to help his wife, Modele, when she had their first child. 

Recall that Timi Dakolo recently launched an attack on the clergyman, anonymously. He called out the pastor, accusing him of taking advantage of women in his ministry and leaving them broken emotionally.

Senegalese footballer, Krepin Diatta who is currently representing his country at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, has spoken about the insults he has been receiving online because of his physical appearance.

The 20-year-old midfielder who plays for Club Brugge KV became a notable figure after scoring a screamer, his first goal for Senegal against Tanzania during their opening match last Sunday.

While many web users were praising Diatta for his goal, some decided to mock his physical appearance.

One troll even went as far as sharing a photo of Krepin with his beautiful white girlfriend and called them “beauty with a beast”.

Reacting to the insults he has been receiving on social media, the 20-year-old wrote in a statement.

"I am very sad to see my african brothers making fun of me, I work for our beautiful and dear africa continent and what I receive in return are only insults, mockery from my brothers

"This is too bad of you and racism comes from there, I need your encouragement, not insults, Thank you to everyone who supports me. Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri reveals he smokes 60 cigarettes every day

New Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has confessed to smoking 60 cigarettes a day.

The 60-year-old former banker is not only well known for his playing style but also his smoking habits.

He averages around four packets of cigarettes a day and he’s admitted it’s getting out of control.

“I smoke 60 a day, which is probably a few too many,” he revealed to La Nuova Riviera via Football Italia.

That works out at a whopping £1,400 every month.

“I don’t particularly feel the need to smoke during games, but straight afterwards it really is necessary,” he added. “I had back problems tormenting me for weeks, but I feel much better now.”
