Another 163 Nigerians deported from Libya



The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received a fresh batch of 163 Stranded Nigerian Returnees from Libya.

The Coordinator, Alhaji Idris Muhammed, received the returnees on behalf of the Federal Government at the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The returnees were brought back by the International Organization for Migration in Al Buraq Air with registration number UZ 189/8738 And 5A-DMG, which arrived Nigeria at about 8:33 pm.

The profiling of the returnees revealed that there are 64 adults female, four female children and seven female infants as well as 75 adult males, three male children and 10 male infants.

The Coordinator advised the youths to desist from embarking perilous journeys that will expose them to avoidable risks.

He stated that under the mandate of NEMA, it is the responsibility of the body to provide succour to distressed Nigerians and the agency will continue to carry out its mandate in service of the people Other Agencies that joined NEMA are NCFMI, NAPTIP, Immigration Service and the Police.
