I have boundaries when it comes to romantic roles – Actress Enado Odigie says

Nollywood actress, Enado Odigie says she has her limits when it comes to interpreting romantic roles.

While speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, “Yes, I have boundaries when it comes to romantic roles. The value of the story is important. Sometimes, there may be some level of flexibility but there are things that I would not do.”

Asked about what she won’t do in the name of fashion, the beautiful, talented and fashionable actress said, “I would not wear something that doesn’t suit me simply because it is trending. I won’t wear something that doesn’t project the type of image I want to project.”

While Nollywood is rife with scandals, Enado has been able to stay off controversies. On how she has been to do that, she said, “I don’t have any formula for staying out of controversy. Being grown up means as much as possible, one should stay out of trouble because one is going about life as responsibly as one can. Maybe, I am not a controversial person.”

Sharing her opinion on Nigerian men in romantic relationships, Odigie said, “There isn’t one way that all Nigerian men behave. There are different types of men in Nigeria, so there are men who are responsible and have a good character and you have people who are irresponsible with themselves or the feelings of other people.”

Revealing the favourite qualities she looks out for in a man, she said, “I look out for character above anything else– the behaviour of the person, the way the individual sees and approaches life. A man who has found himself, who knows who he is, knows where he is going and what he wants from life. You don’t want to be with somebody who hasn’t figured himself out. A person with empathy is more likely to be more understanding and more encouraging of others. A man who honours God is also important. When he honours God, there are things he would not do.”
