Idris Elba says he and his wife, Sabrina are unable to get home after passing the coronavirus quarantine period

Idris Elba has said he and his wife Sabrina Dhowre-Elba are unable to get home despite passing the quarantine period following their coronavirus diagnosis.

The 47 year old actor posted a video on his Twitter updating his fans on his and his wife’s condition, two weeks after revealing he had tested positive for covid-19, with Sabrina also later testing positive for the virus.

Speaking in the clip, the Luther star said: “What’s up people, just wanted to send you a little update on how we’re doing, we’re both doing OK.

“We’re both asymptomatic and out of quarantine but we’re a little bit stuck in limbo, we can’t get a flight back home, so we have to just sit still for a little bit but other than that we are ok and we’re so thankful for that.”

The hunk continued: “I think the worst of it has probably passed.

“It’s weird because I never sit still and Sabrina never sits still either and I think she’s finding it a bit harder – a bit of cabin fever.”

Idris, who wed Sabrina last year, then told his fans he and his wife are trying to “stay optimistic” throughout the uncertain times and he hopes everyone else is “keeping themselves sane”.
