EME records CEO, Banky W has clarified a misconception created in the minds of fans after Nigerian star Wizkid shared an old tweet begging him to help ‘blow’ while he was struggling as an upcoming artiste to hit the limelight.
The tweet went viral and became very topical as people assumed Banky W must be feeling ashamed for ignoring Wizkid as he’s now far bigger than him in the music industry.
But Banky argued that the tweet was a bit misleading as the CEO of EME, Wizkid was already signed at that time.
"Lol so I hate to depress everyone that’s using this tweet as motivation, but this was a joke. He was already signed to EME at the time and we had been working together for a year and a half or so. We were just catching cruise. It does not happen by tweeting. it’s by working".
