Pedophile gets 99 years for making children have sex with each other while he watched

A pedophile who made an underage boy and girl have sex with one another as he watched has been jailed for 99 years.

Billy Joe King, 48, was handed the lengthy sentence Thursday after the girl and boy, now aged 14 and 16 respectively, bravely testified against him.

The boy told jurors that King, of Waco in Texas, first began abusing him when he was six years-old. King, convicted of first-degree sex abuse of both children, turned his attentions to the girl when she turned nine. 

He would abuse them both individually, and also make them perform sex acts on each other so he could watch.

The girl told the court how she’d reported the sex abuse to King’s wife Monica Renee King, 41, on at least three occasions.

But the pedophile’s spouse took his side, refused to believe the claims – and did nothing, the Waco Tribune reported. 

Monica King even destroyed part of the girl’s diary on discovering she’d written down the abuse she’d endured at the hands of Billy Joe King.

Her refusal to report her husband’s wrongdoing saw her sentenced to 20 months jail for failing to report child abuse at an earlier hearing.

Prosecutor Sydney Tuggle said King’s conviction has helped his victims move on from the abuse.

He explained: ‘We feel an enormous amount of gratitude to the jurors for all the thought they put into this verdict.

‘Thank you to everyone who worked on and contributed to bringing this man to justice. We can’t wait to see how these survivors continue to grow from their past into their incredibly bright future.’
